Psalm 7.0.0 [PHP static analysis tool by Vimeo] Vimeo released Psalm 7.0.0, a PHP static analysis tool that now runs security taint analysis by default alongside type checking and dead code detection in a single pass, with the project reporting the refactored analysis is up to 10x faster. The release adds new taint kinds including TaintedNosql, TaintedLlmPrompt for prompt injection, and TaintedUrlComponent/TaintedUrlPath, plus a Hack-based purity model, graph-based dead code detection, template defaults, and full support for PHP 8.5 and 8.6 features such as Partial Function Application and the pipe operator. Psalm 7 runs on 64-bit PHP 8.2 to 8.6, ships PHPUnit, Symfony, Laravel, Mockery and sabre/event plugins that enable themselves automatically, and moves to daily releases.
