Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting with Chief Executive Officer of the international company Presight AI Thomas Pramotedham, Qazinform News Agency cites primeminister.kz.
The meeting focused on issues of cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, the implementation of Smart City projects, the development of transport digital systems, and data storage and processing infrastructure.
With the participation of the company, the Smart City project has been implemented in Astana, and the national supercomputer infrastructure Alem.Cloud has been created.
During the talks, prospects for interaction on the further introduction of digital solutions in the transport industry and the development of the intelligent infrastructure of Astana International Airport were outlined.
Attention was placed to the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence technologies to increase the efficiency of urban management, safety, and the quality of services, as well as the development of domestic technological expertise and human resources potential.
Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that Kazakhstan is moving to a new stage of digital transformation.
According to the Kazakh Government’s press service, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has declared 2026 the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. Favorable conditions have been created in the country for attracting long-term and technological investments. Investors have access to measures of state support, tax and customs preferences, a special visa regime Altyn Visa is being introduced, and project support is carried out on the “one-stop shop” principle.
In turn, Thomas Pramotedham noted the readiness of Presight AI to expand its presence in Kazakhstan and implement new joint projects. The company will continue to develop cooperation in the field of applied artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and the introduction of technological solutions in key sectors of the economy.
Following the talks, priority areas for further cooperation were determined.
