For outright gaming performance, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D makes a lot of sense, even for the RTX 5090, but with the extra cores of the 9900X3D, it offers a more well-rounded performance profile, similar in many ways to higher-end Intel options, only with better gaming performance and on the popular AM5 platform. Things to consider As far as RTX 5090 builds go, this is actually more on the reasonable side, all things considered, and especially given its build quality. If you’re spending this amount of cash, I’d say HP Omen is a great way to go, but I’d also check out Lenovo Legion options, which are similar in many ways, from unique cooling solutions to overall build quality and design aesthetics. With Prime Day coming up, I’m sure we’ll see some discounts; however, they likely won’t be anywhere near what we saw before PC component prices started rising.
