Seasonic has become the first manufacturer to earn 80 Plus Ruby certification for an ATX power supply tested at 115 V. The Seasonic PRIME ENTERPRISE RX-1600, a high-wattage ATX power supply designed for demanding desktop, workstation, and AI systems, meets the program's highest efficiency tier. Seasonic has a long history of firsts in the 80 Plus program. In 2005, Seasonic became the first power supply manufacturer to certify products under the program's rigorous criteria with the Seasonic SS-400HT, and the first to bring a complete family of four certified products to market that same year. In 2008, Seasonic was again the first to achieve 80 Plus Gold certification. The Ruby milestone continues that legacy.
"Seasonic has been involved with 80 Plus since the program's launch, so this result is significant for us, said Walter Sun, CEO of Seasonic. Our first certified PC power supply appeared in 2005, followed by the first Gold certification in 2008," said a Seasonic representative.
