It connects your AI assistant to the Apple apps on your Mac, and in 1.0 \"your AI assistant\" means any of 24, not just Claude Desktop. Everything still runs on your Mac. There is no Pomeroy server, and nothing about your mail, calendar or messages is sent anywhere by Pomeroy.\n\nI built the first version because I wanted Claude to see my own inbox and calendar, and the only way to do that was to clone a repository and hope. 1.0 is that same idea finished: install an app, pick the apps it may reach, press one button for your assistant, ask a question.\n\n## What is Pomeroy 1.0?\n\nA $19 macOS menu-bar app that hands your AI assistant Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, Messages, Maps, Shortcuts and Weather over MCP, with a privacy pledge that is checked by tests rather than promised in prose. Most take one click. The rest get a configuration\nwritten for you to paste. Pomeroy reads and searches, and creates where you would expect it (an event, a reminder, a note). It does not send, delete or edit for you. If that is the product you want, Pomeroy is the wrong one, and I would rather say so here than after you have downloaded it.\n\n## What can Pomeroy 1.0 not do?\n\nQuite a lot, on purpose.\n\n- **It cannot send mail or a message.** There is no action for it, so no\nprompt can talk your assistant into one.\n- **It cannot delete or edit your existing data.** No deleted mail, no\nedited contact, no removed note.\n- **It never reads your screen and never asks for Accessibility or Screen\nRecording.** It reaches every app through the interface that app publishes\nfor automation, or through a Shortcut you built yourself.\n- **It does not work with an assistant that runs in the cloud.** A hosted\nassistant can only reach a server on the public internet, and Pomeroy has\nnone.
