<p>New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged robust water data governance through<a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/artificial-intelligence"> artificial intelligence</a>, calling for systematic collection, analysis and utilisation of water-sector data in a uniform format to tackle scarcity and improve planning.</p><p>Addressing the valedictory session of the two-day National Departmental Summit on Water, organised by<a href="https://www.jalshakti-dowr.gov.in/"> the Ministry of Jal Shakti, </a>Modi said the gathering marked the first in a series of departmental summits aimed at strengthening cooperative federalism and collective ownership of national priorities. </p><p>Ministers and senior officials from states and Union Territories participated in focused discussions on India’s water security.</p><p>The Prime Minister called for sensitising urban local bodies to challenges of urbanisation and population growth, and suggested organising similar Chintan Shivirs for them. </p><p>He advocated greater adoption of water-saving technologies through exhibitions, workshops and exposure to global best practices.</p>.Karnataka: Private schools’ body opposes govt decision to replace third language with AI.PM Modi dismisses fears of massive job losses due to AI, says it will create new opportunities.<p>Emphasising Jan Bhagidari, Modi proposed “Jal Utsav” events to raise public awareness. He highlighted anticipatory planning and greater use of treated water for agriculture and industry.</p><p>Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil listed four key outcomes: accelerated infrastructure projects, water conservation as a people’s movement, sustainable drinking-water sources, and effective operation and maintenance of rural schemes.</p>
