Pixel Screenshots updated with new date and app filters

Google's Pixel Screenshots app version 1.26.281.05 is rolling out via the Play Store, adding new filters for date range and source, alongside existing tag filters. The update, which coincides with the Pixel 11 series, allows users to sort screenshots by date ranges (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, custom), collections, and source applications. These filters are also available in Collections and complement text search.

Following Journal https://9to5google.com/2026/08/14/pixel-journal-ai-update/ and Recorder https://9to5google.com/2026/08/17/pixel-recorder-new-icon/ , the Pixel 11 update for the Screenshots app is here with the ability to filter “by date range and source.” Previously, the “Filter screenshots” menu just consisted of “Tags” like Places, Articles, Events, Notes, Receipts, Tracking info, and more. An update that coincides with the Pixel 11 series now lets you sort by: Date range : 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, and Custom Collections : Instead of having to visit each one individually Sources : Applications which Google already logged and showed in the bottom-right corner of each screenshot These updates let you thoroughly filter the main feed and serve as a nice complement to text search. The filters are also available in Collections. There are no other changes to Pixel Screenshots today.
