Payouts.com partners with Casper to enable AI agent transactions

Payouts.com and the Casper Association announced a partnership to enable AI agents to make payments through the x402 protocol, with Casper Network serving as the settlement rail for Payouts.com's AgentWallet and Digital Employees platforms. The collaboration will use csprUSD, Casper's native stablecoin, for on-chain settlement, allowing agents to pay for services without human-held credentials. Payouts.com CEO Leor Ceder said the company expects AI agents to drive the next wave of payment volume, and Gartner forecasts agents could intermediate more than $15 trillion in B2B spend by 2028.

Payouts.com CEO Leor Ceder said the company expects AI agents to drive the next wave of payment volume.

Payouts.com and the Casper Association are teaming up to enable AI agents to make payments through the x402 protocol, the companies announced Tuesday. As part of the partnership, Casper Network will become the settlement rail for Payouts.com’s AgentWallet and Digital Employees platforms.

The partnership will use csprUSD, Casper’s native stablecoin, as the settlement asset for AI agents transacting over Casper’s x402 rails, providing dollar-denominated payments that can be enforced on-chain.

Under the arrangement, Payouts.com will govern agent spending, including what an agent can purchase, how much it can spend, and when it can transact. Casper will provide on-chain settlement and enforcement through csprUSD, allowing agents to pay for API calls, datasets, and other services without using volatile assets or relying on human-held payment credentials.

The partnership comes as AI agents increasingly take on tasks such as researching, negotiating, buying data, and calling paid APIs.

Gartner forecasts that agents could intermediate more than $15 trillion in B2B spend by 2028 as they progress from recommending actions to executing transactions. x402 aims to facilitate that shift by turning HTTP’s “402 Payment Required” response into a machine-native payment mechanism.

“The next wave of payment volume won’t come from humans clicking checkout buttons, but from AI agents transacting on their behalf,” Payouts.com CEO and co-founder Leor Ceder stated.

“Every era of the internet needed a payment layer before it could support real commerce. The browser got the credit card form. The smartphone got the in-app purchase. AI agents are the next buyers on the internet, and until now they’ve been transacting with borrowed human credentials,” Casper Association President and CTO Michael Steuer said.

The integration is underway and will be rolled out in phases over the coming months.
