Patrick at Micro Center Columbus Ohio Grand Reopening with Jeff Geerling Patrick Kennedy of ServeTheHome will appear at Micro Center's grand reopening in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend, participating in a livestream with Jeff Geerling to build a mini-rack featuring the Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber and showcase the Minisforum N5 Max as an all-in-one homelab. The event has drawn a line around the building, with Jayztwocents also streaming live. If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area this weekend, come stop by Micro Center’s grand reopening. I will be on site participating in one of the live streams, saying hi to folks, and allegedly Jeff Geerling has an idea for a project that we are going to work on together. Patrick at Micro Center Columbus, Ohio The newly updated flagship store is huge, and incorporates many of the design principles from its newer stores. Jeff and I are going to work on a mini-rack that will incorporate the Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber UCG-Fiber https://www.servethehome.com/ubiquiti-unifi-cloud-gateway-fiber-ucg-fiber-review/ that we reviewed last year. This should be a fun project as I have seen it working before we head over there. The other big project, and the subject of Micro Center’s livestream I will be participating in, is the Minisforum N5 Max https://www.servethehome.com/minisforum-n5-max-review-with-amd-ryzen-ai-max-395/ as an all-in-one homelab. I think that is a really neat concept, so hopefully we will have a great livestream when we are on-site. I am also just excited to see the new store. Final Words I have never done one of these before, so it should be interesting at least. Usually when I stop by the Micro Center in Phoenix, Arizona, a few folks will stop me to say hello. Fun fact: I lived about 15 minutes away from this location when I was younger. That is why, when we did the Exploring the NVIDIA HGX B200 Lambda AI Cluster at Cologix with Supermicro https://www.servethehome.com/exploring-the-nvidia-hgx-b200-lambda-ai-cluster-at-cologix-with-supermicro/ video last summer, I took Sam to go eat in an Amish buggy. Unfortunately, Jeff and I did not get to Der Dutchman last night. If you are in the area, there is already a line around the back of the building, but it seems like this is going to be a big event. Jayztwocents just walked in and is doing a live stream before ours as well.
