If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area this weekend, come stop by Micro Center’s grand reopening. I will be on site participating in one of the live streams, saying hi to folks, and allegedly Jeff Geerling has an idea for a project that we are going to work on together.

The newly updated flagship store is huge, and incorporates many of the design principles from its newer stores.
Jeff and I are going to work on a mini-rack that will incorporate the Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber UCG-Fiber that we reviewed last year.
This should be a fun project as I have seen it working before we head over there.
The other big project, and the subject of Micro Center’s livestream I will be participating in, is the Minisforum N5 Max as an all-in-one homelab.
I think that is a really neat concept, so hopefully we will have a great livestream when we are on-site. I am also just excited to see the new store.
Final Words #
I have never done one of these before, so it should be interesting at least. Usually when I stop by the Micro Center in Phoenix, Arizona, a few folks will stop me to say hello. Fun fact: I lived about 15 minutes away from this location when I was younger. That is why, when we did the Exploring the NVIDIA HGX B200 Lambda AI Cluster at Cologix with Supermicro video last summer, I took Sam to go eat in an Amish buggy. Unfortunately, Jeff and I did not get to Der Dutchman last night.
If you are in the area, there is already a line around the back of the building, but it seems like this is going to be a big event. Jayztwocents just walked in and is doing a live stream before ours as well.
