# Oura and Counsel Health Expand Partnership Through CMS ACCESS Model > Source: > Published: 2026-09-17 14:00:29+00:00 Today, Oura announced a new phase of its partnership with [Counsel](https://www.counselhealth.com/), the AI-native primary care company, through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center’s Advancing Chronic Care with Effective Scalable Solutions (ACCESS) Model. The ACCESS program gives Oura and Counsel the opportunity to study this model at scale, specifically how continuous biometric data can be combined with physician-led care, to support Medicare beneficiaries managing chronic conditions. Starting in early 2027, Counsel will deliver AI-native chronic care for hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia and/or prediabetes at no out-of-pocket cost to eligible Medicare beneficiaries across nearly all U.S. states. Through ACCESS, both companies are expanding that work to eligible Medicare beneficiaries. ### **From Continuous Health Insights to Physician-Led Care** Through its participation, Counsel will bring personalized guidance from Counsel’s medical AI alongside on-demand access to its board-certified physicians, helping Medicare beneficiaries benefit from a more modern, connected care experience. For patients who also use Oura Ring and consent to share their Oura data, Counsel will leverage biometric health insights from the Oura App to deliver more personalized care informed by continuous biometric data. ### **Deepening the Counsel and Oura Partnership** Earlier in the year, Oura and Counsel announced a partnership to translate continuous health insights into on-demand, physician-led care. Oura gives members an ongoing view of changes in their health, while Counsel’s medical AI and physicians help interpret those signals and guide next steps. The ACCESS partnership expands that work to eligible Medicare beneficiaries and gives the partners the opportunity to study the model at scale. In just a few months, Oura Members have already found value in the Counsel integration, sharing positive feedback about how it helps them make sense of their health data and decide what to do next. Members who saw a physician have rated their care 4.6 out of 5, highlighting the quality and convenience of the experience. ### **Why This Matters for Oura Members** Members 65+ are among Oura’s most engaged age groups, ranking highly in daily app engagement. For Oura, that engagement creates a meaningful way to connect eligible members with information about the ACCESS program and Counsel. 20% of Oura Members in this age group have a BMI of 30 or higher, underscoring the relevance of ACCESS’s focus on obesity and related chronic conditions.
