`dependency_caches = true` in Otōto's settings, a parent POM or an imported BOM that is not in your repository is read where Maven keeps what it has downloaded, `~/.m2/repository`, along with its own parents and BOMs. `read pom.xml#spring-core` then ends with the version Maven would use and the file and line that set it, where it used to stop at "not in this repository". It also names the dependency's JAR when the cache has it, ready for `read <jar>!<class>`. A snapshot found there says it may be out of date. This release brings version 0.2 of the maven plugin, which does this.`dependency_caches` set, `read` and `outline` take a `.pom` there by its absolute path, as they already take a JAR. Nothing else in a cache is read, listed or searched, and without the setting nothing changes.`ototo init` works with any agent.`ototo doctor` shows such a machine an Agent section in place of Claude Code's.
Upgrading from 2026.19: `ototo update`. It brings the maven plugin up to 0.2 if you have it, and changes nothing in `settings.json` or CLAUDE.md. To have the maven plugin read Maven's cache, add `dependency_caches = true` to `~/.config/ototo/config.toml`.
