The AI-focused Layer-1 blockchain is broadening its reach with no-code tools, privacy features, and agentic payment and trading capabilities aimed at everyday users.
OpenLedger, the Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for AI workloads, is making a deliberate turn toward mainstream users. The project has outlined a two-year roadmap focused on no-code customization tools, privacy-preserving features, and agentic capabilities in crypto payments and trading, a combination designed to pull non-technical users into a space that has traditionally required serious engineering chops.
What OpenLedger is actually building #
The centerpiece of the B2C push is ModelFactory, a no-code dashboard that lets users fine-tune large language models using their own datasets, which OpenLedger calls Datanets. The platform handles the technical complexity underneath while surfacing controls a non-engineer can actually use.
On-chain rewards and provenance tracking are baked into the system, meaning contributors get credited and compensated when their data or models are used.
Privacy-preserving AI is also on the roadmap as a core feature rather than an add-on.
According to founder Ram Kumar, the sequencing of the agentic rollout is intentional. Agentic payments come first. Agentic trading follows. The logic is that payments are a simpler use case with more immediate utility, while autonomous trading systems carry higher stakes and require more user trust before they can find a mass-market audience.
Token and investor backing #
The OPEN token was trading in the range of $0.15 to $0.16 as of mid-August 2026, following the project’s launch and initial exchange listings, including Binance, earlier in 2025.
The investor roster carries real weight. Polychain Capital, Borderless Capital, and HashKey Capital are listed among the backers. OpenLedger allows contributors of data, AI models, and agents to tokenize those contributions, creating economic incentives for the community to keep building and improving the ecosystem.
