OpenAI said generation latency is up to 50% lower than Images 2.0, and the API adds GPT-Image-2.5 Flare and Sunburst, both priced at $8 per 1 million image-input tokens and $30 per 1 million output tokens. The update adds a Sketch drawing tool, image templates and comment-based edits, with safety handled through prompt and image checks, C2PA metadata and invisible watermarking including Google DeepMind's SynthID.
