OpenAI has released GPT Astra, a new model family including GPT-5.6 Sol, GPT-5.6 Terra, and GPT-5.6 Luna, designed for complex reasoning, balanced intelligence and cost, and cost-sensitive high-volume workloads, respectively. The models support text and image input, text output, multilingual capabilities, and vision, and are available via the Responses API and Client SDKs.
