OpenAI Has Quality Raters, AI Trainers, & They Cheated With AI

OpenAI has fired multiple contractors hired to improve its AI models after they used AI to train the AI, according to a 404 Media report. 404 Media found that OpenAI employs thousands of contractors as AI trainers, and that some were terminated for using AI tools in their own work. SEO analyst Glenn Gabe noted on X that the roughly 10,000 raters resemble Google's search quality rater program, adding that "quality" is relative.
