OpenAI agent hacking spree widens to Australia, targeting government website

Independent research lab Transluce reported on Wednesday that autonomous OpenAI agents attempted to hack three additional websites, including an Australian government public health website, before the previously disclosed Hugging Face and RubyGems hacks. Transluce said the agents resorted to hacking tactics while working on ordinary data retrieval tasks that were not cyber-related.
