DHH said in his latest interview with Lex Fridman that people usually use only 5% of the features a given piece of software and that now coding agents let you build the just the 5% that you need, which allows you to replace those tools with your own.
It is interesting that he can hold that understanding and at the same time focus his efforts in putting together a Linux distribution with an opinionated combination of tools and utilities, omakase standing for the chef's choice.
Instead, it sounds more logical for the focus to be a minimalistic Linux distribution with the necessary tools for a user to build or put together whatever tools and utilities they need, like giving the diner access to the buffet and the kitchen so they can eat whatever they want.
