A sensor built on eBPF, the Linux kernel feature, tracks which library functions a workload actually calls. Most of the vulnerabilities a scanner flags are never called at all, and those are the ones Oligo tells customers they can leave alone. The ones that do get called can be blocked mid-exploit at the application layer, without killing the container or the process behind it.\n\nThat last piece arrived [in April](https://siliconangle.com/2026/04/14/oligo-security-moves-beyond-cve-prioritization-real-time-application-layer-exploit-blocking/) with Runtime Exploit Blocking, which defends against classes of attack techniques rather than individual CVEs, meaning a single rule can cover zero-day and n-day exploits that share a pattern. Oligo also pitches the approach as a way to buy time between patch cycles through virtual patching.\n\nInterest in runtime defenses has climbed since [unauthorized access to Anthropic PBC’s restricted Claude Mythos model](https://siliconangle.com/2026/04/22/anthropic-investigates-unauthorized-access-restricted-claude-mythos-ai-model/) sharpened concern about how quickly vulnerability discovery and exploit development can be automated.\n\n“AI has fundamentally changed the economics of exploitation,” said Nadav Czerninski, co-founder and chief executive of Oligo. “When attackers can find vulnerabilities and build exploits at machine speed, runtime becomes the only place you can definitively understand true risk and stop real attacks without breaking production.”\n\nOligo put annual recurring revenue growth at 300% for the past year. Valuation has more than doubled since Greenfield Partners Ltd. led a $50 million Series B in [January 2025](https://siliconangle.com/2025/01/29/oligo-security-raises-50m-ebpf-powered-application-security-platform/), though the company gave no dollar figure for either.\n\nIn February, the company was named by Amazon Web Services Inc. as the exclusive artificial intelligence runtime security partner for the extended plan of AWS Security Hub. In June it joined Palantir Technologies Inc.’s FedStart program to speed its path to FedRAMP High and Defense Department Impact Level 5 authorization, a prerequisite for selling into federal agencies and defense customers.\n\nBrad Arkin, a cybersecurity adviser and former chief trust officer at Salesforce Inc., said in the announcement that runtime is “the one place where security teams can accurately determine what’s truly exploitable.”\n\nBacking the round were Ballistic Ventures, Canon Capital, Greenfield Partners Ltd., Lightspeed Management Co., Red Dot Capital Partners LP and TLV Partners, along with investor Eyal Waldman. Waldman co-founded Mellanox Technologies Ltd., which Nvidia Corp. bought [for $6.9 billion](https://siliconangle.com/2019/03/11/confirming-rumors-nvidia-agrees-acquire-mellanox-landmark-6-9b-deal/).\n\nOligo first surfaced publicly in [February 2023](https://siliconangle.com/2023/02/15/israeli-cybersecurity-startup-oligo-launches-stealth-28m-funding/) with $28 million from Lightspeed, Ballistic and TLV. The company puts its funding to date at $140 million.\n\nMic McCully, field chief technology officer of Oligo, spoke with theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio,[ in June](https://siliconangle.com/2026/06/16/oligo-security-solution-runtime-protection-awsmarketplaceseries/), where he discussed how the company delivers runtime protection in the new age of AI-driven attacks.\n\n# A message from John Furrier, co-founder of SiliconANGLE:\n\nSupport our mission to keep content open and free by engaging with theCUBE community. **Join theCUBE’s Alumni Trust Network**, where technology leaders connect, share intelligence and create opportunities.\n\n**15M+ viewers of theCUBE videos**, powering conversations across AI, cloud, cybersecurity and more** 11.4k+ theCUBE alumni**— Connect with more than 11,400 tech and business leaders shaping the future through a unique trusted-based network.\n\n# Are you AWS customer?
