(Hong Kong, 27 August 2026) – Octopus Cards Limited (“Octopus”) has engaged Wonderful to support its applied AI transformation, with a focus on enhancing user experience, advancing smart commerce and contributing to Hong Kong’s Smart City Vision.
Wonderful will support Octopus’ participation in the Generative Artificial Intelligence Sandbox++ initiative. Jointly launched by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Securities and Futures Commission, the Insurance Authority and the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, the initiative provides a risk-controlled environment for participating organisations to explore responsible AI applications.
Under this engagement, Wonderful will work with Octopus to explore, design and develop selected AI-enabled experiences across Octopus’ payments and service ecosystem. Combining Wonderful’s enterprise AI Operating System with Octopus’ understanding of everyday payment needs, the initiative will explore practical applications of generative AI in areas such as agentic commerce, intelligent support and digital services.
It aims to create more seamless, personalised and intuitive customer experiences, while helping make everyday digital services simpler and easier to access for customers.
