The good news is that the game does not appear to be overly demanding. The bad news, at least for some players hanging on to old hardware, is that older GTX graphics cards are no longer part of the conversation. According to the newly released PC specifications, the minimum GPU requirement starts with either an Nvidia RTX 2060 or RTX 5050. AMD users can get by with an RX 6600 or RX 9060, while Intel players will need at least an Arc A580. Recommended specs move up to an RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 5060, RX 6700 XT, RX 9060 XT, or Intel Arc B580. While some of these GPUs may still be capable of running the game at lower settings, players can run into all sorts of performance and compatibility issues due to their lack of hardware-level ray tracing support. The rest of the requirements are fairly reasonable by modern standards. Players will need at least 12GB of RAM and a processor such as the Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5-10400. For the recommended experience, 16GB of RAM and a Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5-11600K are suggested. One thing that stands out is the storage requirement, as Gears of War: E-Day will require 130GB of available SSD space regardless of whether you’re aiming for minimum or recommended settings. The system requirements also highlight several PC-focused features. Players can expect support for uncapped frame rates, ultrawide monitors, keyboard and mouse remapping, and multiple display modes. The game will also support advanced graphical features such as HDR10 and hardware ray-traced lighting, reflections, and shadows. 170Would you buy a bare bones Steam Machine?Would you buy a variant of the Steam Machine with no RAM and/or no SSD and install them separately to help save on costs?
