Nvidia is set to invest billions more into the AI data centres driving its success, but it's convinced five of Wall Street’s biggest firms to "independently" finance $500 billion worth of capital in a push against "circular financing" worries.

The chipmaker has established independent “compute financing platforms” with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR to support data centre projects at AI labs and cloud companies.

Posting [ on X on Monday](https://x.com/JensenHuang/status/2086934705207959965?ref=thestack.technology), CEO Jensen Huang said the move marked “the beginning of an open capital market for AI infrastructure”, emphasising that financing decisions would be made independently by the investors.

He said the agreement was designed to address concerns of “[ circular financing](https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2026-ai-circular-deals/?ref=thestack.technology)” in the sector, the idea that hardware and cloud companies like Nvidia and Microsoft are propping up the AI labs and neoclouds that then buy their chips or cloud services.

Nvidia recorded $82 billion in revenue in its [ Q1 FY27 earnings](https://nvidianews.nvidia.com/news/nvidia-announces-financial-results-for-first-quarter-fiscal-2027?ref=thestack.technology) report in May, up 85% year-on-year.
