Nvidia enters the laptop processor market as the fifth major chipmaker with the RTX Spark N1X GPU.
Based on Arm architecture, the 3-nanometer chip features 6,144 CUDA cores and an 80W power cap.
Testing inside the HP OmniBook Ultra 16 reveals architectural performance alongside notable game compatibility and anti-cheat hurdles.
The tests were conducted with the RTX Spark N1X chip, which is inside an HP OmniBook Ultra 16 laptop. This particular device costs $4.999,99, while prices for the series start at $3.199,99.
The chip is manufactured at 3 nanometers and features 6.144 cores, a 256-bit memory system and a maximum switching speed of 300 gigabits per second. The chip's power consumption is limited to 80 watts.
For comparison purposes, two gaming laptops were used: an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI with a GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card and an Alienware 16 Area-51 with a GeForce RTX 5080. READ ALSO

Because the RTX Spark chips are based on Arm architecture, the games that can run on them are limited. From testing, only Cyberpunk 2077 was able to run from the established test list.
Other games faced hurdles. F1 2024 displayed a message that there was no Arm version available, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was hampered by a lack of support for its anti-cheat system, although Nvidia says support will come in 2027.
The tests included modern games with advanced lighting and graphics techniques, such as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Black Myth: Wukong, Cyberpunk 2077, and Returnal. In addition, older games released around or before 2020 were tested, such as Borderlands 3, Far Cry 6, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Total War: Three Kingdoms.
To support future titles, Nvidia is forming partnerships with leading game publishers, including Capcom, EA, Sega, and Ubisoft.
