# Nubia’s Doubao-powered AI agent phone clears network access approval

Nubia’s NaviX Ultra smartphone received network access approval in China on September 1 and is scheduled to go on sale this month. The phone was developed with ByteDance’s Doubao team and will include the Doubao Phone Assistant.

The approval moves the device from the technical-preview stage toward commercial launch. The phone is designed to let an AI agent understand natural-language requests and complete tasks across multiple applications, rather than simply provide conversational or content-generation features.
