Nous Research has released Hermes Desktop, an open-source AI agent app under the MIT license, now available as a public preview for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The agent operates across platforms including Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, email, and the terminal, with persistent memory and natural language task planning. It can delegate to sub-agents, search the web, generate images, and read text aloud, with five sandboxed execution backends and access to over 300 AI models through free and paid plans.
