We first got to know the Notion team as one of our top customers. Notion AI’s unified search has been running on our reranker zerank-2 for the past 2 months, replacing models from larger, better funded competitors, with an 85% latency decrease.

All of our models are now fully open-source under Apache 2.0. As for the team, we’re all joining Notion, and we can’t wait to keep making Notion AI even more useful and efficient.

What does this mean for you as a customer? #

All ZeroEntropy products will remain fully supported until September 4th, 2026 with no degradation, after which they will be sunset. We have disabled new signups, and encourage existing customers to migrate away from ZeroEntropy products using the following resources.

For customers using ZeroEntropy models #

In tandem with our acquisition, we are updating the license of all of our models to Apache 2.0. This means you can now self-serve our models through any inference providers without a commercial license. The different options are all listed in our migration guide.

For customers using our search engine #

If you’re using zsearch, ZeroEntropy’s search engine, we recommend following our migration guide to migrate to another vendor. The ZeroEntropy team is committed to helping customers using zsearch with their migration. We are available on Slack, Discord, Email and will respond as quickly as possible to all inquiries.

Thank you #

We would like to thank warmly our customers, investors, and partners for believing in ZeroEntropy and using our products and models. It’s been our privilege to serve you and work alongside some of the best teams in their respective industries.
