How do I make sense of it, and what’s right for me, and what’s right for me in this moment?” Stone said.\n\nNetflix now integrates generative AI and natural language processing to help discern what a viewer is in the mood to watch, Stone said. It’s testing a voice user interface and other experiments that combine a person’s viewing preferences and history with other factors like what’s trending, helping the platform make a highly tailored recommendation, she said.\n\n“That’s been a strength for Netflix for a long time, and I think it needs to continue to be a place where we’re state-of-the-art and continuing to innovate,” Stone said.\n\nBloomberg Tech continues Thursday with appearances from Anthropic co-founder and president Daniela Amodei, Verizon Communications Inc. Chief Executive Officer Dan Schulman, Microsoft Corp. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, and others.\n\nMore stories like this are available on [bloomberg.com](https://www.bloomberg.com)\n\n©2026 Bloomberg L.P.", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/netflix-aims-to-use-ai-to-help-viewers-manage-content-overload", "canonical_source": "https://www.mercurynews.com/2026/06/04/netflix-aims-to-use-ai-to-help-viewers-manage-content-overload/", "published_at": "2026-06-04 16:45:07+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-06-04 17:04:13.614702+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["artificial-intelligence", "generative-ai", "natural-language-processing", "ai-products", "ai-tools"], "entities": ["Netflix Inc.", "Elizabeth Stone", "Bloomberg", "Anthropic", "Daniela Amodei", "Verizon Communications Inc.", "Dan Schulman", "Microsoft Corp."], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/netflix-aims-to-use-ai-to-help-viewers-manage-content-overload", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/netflix-aims-to-use-ai-to-help-viewers-manage-content-overload.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/netflix-aims-to-use-ai-to-help-viewers-manage-content-overload.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/netflix-aims-to-use-ai-to-help-viewers-manage-content-overload.jsonld"}}
