Vercel's AI Gateway is offering MiniMax M3 and M2.7 models free through GMI Cloud until Sunday, September 6, using the -free model IDs (minimax/minimax-m3-free or minimax/minimax-m2.7-free). After the free period, these IDs will error, but users can keep the standard model IDs and set GMI Cloud as the preferred provider for fallback. The free models work across all AI Gateway APIs and can be used in coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, and Pi.
