Microsoft’s Copilot trust test: Zero findings, more models, wider oversight

Microsoft’s 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat have been recertified under ISO/IEC 42001:2023 for the second consecutive year, with an independent auditor reporting zero non-conformities and zero improvement observations. The certification, first awarded in March 2025, evaluates the AI management system across governance, risk assessment, data management, transparency, human oversight, and supplier management. The clean audit reinforces Microsoft’s compliance claims as it expands the number of AI models and oversight mechanisms for its enterprise Copilot tools.
