The updated platform also introduces usage-based billing and FinOps tools, positioning Copilot less as a subscription product and more as a metered utility.
Nadella’s critique of the AI bubble mentality #
Back in June 2026, Nadella warned against the dominance of a few AI models, arguing that concentration poses risks to innovation and accountability alike.
