• The system operates via a natural language chat interface, capable of remembering user details and undertaking lengthy tasks independently, such as booking appointments and saving users money.
• Unlike traditional chatbots, Muse represents a practical implementation of agentic artificial intelligence, fulfilling long-held industry promises to create AI capable of taking direct real-world actions.
• To mitigate significant privacy and data security concerns, Meta stores each user data on a dedicated virtual computer in the cloud, promises not to use chat data for advertising, and plans to introduce full encryption.
• To prevent the system from taking unauthorised or harmful actions, Meta has built in safeguards that require Muse to check with the user before executing sensitive tasks like making purchases or sending emails.
