Autonomous goal execution across connected apps
Unlike reactive chatbots, Muse is built to take ownership of end-to-end goals. Users can set high-level objectives—such as lowering a household utility bill, organizing a complete travel itinerary, or selling a used vehicle. The agent opens browser windows, fills out digital forms, and handles cross-service coordination in the background.
When prolonged multi-stage work is required, Muse continues operating after the user exits the app, proactively checking in only when significant milestones occur or when explicit user authorization is required, such as sending sensitive correspondence or confirming travel bookings.

Secure VM architecture and safe purchasing
To overcome the privacy hurdles of granting an AI agent access to personal accounts, Meta built the system around Muse Secure VM. Each user receives an isolated virtual computer in the cloud where their credentials and tasks reside. A separate, decoupled "Sentinel" agent monitors network requests, preventing Muse from accessing the open web without explicit permissions.
For financial transactions, Muse integrates with Stripe’s Link protocol. It generates disposable, one-time-use virtual payment cards that mask the user's actual banking details, backed by built-in protections against price drops and damaged deliveries.
Availability and subscriptions
The Muse app is rolling out on iOS, Android, and web platforms, with integration heading to Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses later this year. While the core features remain free for general everyday tasks, an optional power-user subscription is available at USD 20 per month (approx. AED 73.46) for intensive multi-agent compute.
