Ten days after launching its personal AI agent, Meta is letting outside developers build their own integrations into the platform.
Meta launched its personal AI agent, Muse, on September 8, 2026. By September 18, CEO Mark Zuckerberg was already handing the keys to outside developers.
The move opens a new developer submission portal at muse.ai/platform, where third parties can build and submit custom connectors for review. New connectors went live the same day Zuckerberg made the announcement.
What Muse actually does #
Think of Muse as a personal assistant that sits on top of your digital life. It connects to apps like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Spotify, then acts on your behalf across them.
The key design choice is individual authorization: users approve each connection separately, rather than granting blanket access to everything at once.
Muse runs on iOS, Android, and the web through muse.ai, with WhatsApp support already in place and AI glasses on the roadmap. Meta is pricing the service in tiers, with a Power plan at $20 per month and a Maximum plan at $100 per month, each offering progressively higher usage limits.

Why opening the connector ecosystem matters #
Developers submitting connectors must meet Meta’s functional, security, and legal requirements before anything goes live.
What remains undisclosed is everything developers actually need to plan around: agreement terms, fees, revenue sharing arrangements, and how long the review process takes.
