Meta LLaMA model access granted but still restricted on Hugging Face

Hugging Face users report that approval granted through Meta's official LLaMA application process at ai.meta.com does not automatically carry over to the corresponding gated repositories on Hugging Face, according to a forum thread featuring user Alvin Shao. A respondent said the two approvals are independent and advised contacting Hugging Face at website@huggingface.co or applying through Hugging Face's standard gated-model procedure, which covers models such as meta-llama/Llama-3.2-3B-Instruct. Another user said they obtained Hugging Face-side permission but the Pocket Pal app still surfaced LLaMA versions from RichardErkhov and mrandermacher rather than Meta's.

Hi Hugging Face Team, I recently received approval from Meta to access the LLaMA model series via their official application process on ai.meta.com http://ai.meta.com . However, my Hugging Face account still does not have access to the corresponding repository. Could you please help sync the access permissions? I’ve even added my access token to the pocket pal app but it won’t find meta’s version of llama instead it pulls up 4 others, one is by a RichardErkhov and the other 3 are by mrandermacher none of them are by Meta though. I am at a complete loss of what to do.
