A few weeks ago, we announced the a16z Design Engineer Fellowship—an 8-week cohort of AI-native design leaders at the forefront of how software will be designed and built in the future.
We received thousands of applications from talented people around the world. Today, we’re excited to share more about the 73 fellows we’ve selected to join the inaugural cohort who are leading design at companies like OpenAI, Cursor, Stripe, Ramp, Vercel, Pinterest, and Partiful.
Many fellows wrote the original playbooks in product design like - Joshua To from Meta, Ian Silber from OpenAI (prev. Instagram), and Yuliya Gorlovetsky from Stripe.
Some are currently building category defining products, zero to scale - like Dann Petty at QuiverAI, Ryo Lu at Cursor and Nicholas Garro at Vercel.
Others are design leaders at tech powerhouses like - Ammaar Reshi at Google, Maheen Sohail at Meta, and David Hoang at Atlassian.
Across the board, these fellows are the ones writing and rewriting how great products get made, building design systems that scale, and raising the standard for what a design team can ship.
We hope that you’ll join us in celebrating everything this group has already done, and everything they’re about to do next.
Congratulations and welcome, a16z Design Engineer Fellows! To stay in the loop on applications for the next cohort, fill out this form.
