Maharashtra govt moves to fast-track AI Innovation City with Tata Group The Maharashtra Government is firming up a time-bound roadmap to expedite the development of the AI Innovation City near Navi Mumbai International Airport, being developed in partnership with the Tata Group, said Kaustubh Dhavse, Chief Advisor (Investments & Strategy) to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The project involves an $11 billion investment to build India's first Innovation City across 300 acres, featuring AI data centres, high-performance computing, semiconductors, and Global Capability Centers. Maharashtra currently accounts for about 66% of India's data-centre capacity.
