The next generation of [Google's Pixel](/tech/mobile/best-google-pixel-phone/) smartphone is on the way, and invitations for a Made By Google event have been sent out to the press. The reveal will take place on Aug. 12 in New York at 6PM ET.

Google is expected to unveil its new phone lineup, the [Google Pixel 11](https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/pixel-11-50mp-camera-upgrade/) series, which will likely include new pro models and a book-style foldable. There will likely be a Pixel Watch 5, the fifth-generation of the company's smartwatch.

Google's also [heavily leaning](/tech/services-and-software/google-cloud-next-2026-ai-agents-computing-chips-news/) into [agentic AI capabilities](/tech/services-and-software/what-is-agentic-ai-everything-to-know-about-artificial-intelligence-agents/), so it would come as no surprise if that's a standout feature set for the next Pixels. The Pixel 11 lineup will ship with many of the features we saw earlier this year at Google I/O, like [Gemini Intelligence,] as the tech giant aims to become the ultimate AI smart device. And while [Android 17](/tech/services-and-software/android-17-preview/) began rolling out to eligible Pixel smartphones in June, the Pixel 11 family could come with exclusive features that may not trickle down to older Google handsets.

Some rumors suggest that Google will remove the temperature sensor on the Pixel 11 and replace it with a notification LED-like feature, called [Pixel Glow](/tech/mobile/pixel-11-may-revive-the-notification-led-with-pixel-glow/). The feature is said to make it easier to spot notifications when your phone is face down by glowing different colors tied to specific apps or messages, which would likely be customizable. Other than that, we aren't expecting any more [major external design changes](/tech/mobile/first-pixel-11-renders-look-familiar/) for this year's Pixel lineup.

What you can expect is a series of internal changes, as Google's effort to make its phones more efficient for on-device AI has been a priority since the [Pixel 9 lineup](/tech/mobile/google-pixel-9-review-chock-full-of-ai-but-thats-not-what-makes-it-great/) two years ago. A leak from earlier in May reports that the base Pixel 11 will ship with a [better camera but less RAM](/tech/mobile/pixel-11-50mp-camera-upgrade/).

Another change that would surprise no one? A price increase. While we'll have to wait until the new devices are officially unveiled, the effects of [RAMageddon](/tech/computing/tech-companies-are-freaking-out-about-ramageddon/) are likely to impact pricing. Google could easily follow [Apple](/tech/apple-price-increases-june-25-2026-iphone-apple-watch-accessories/), Samsung, Motorola and other tech companies in raising device prices.
