Hi everyone,

I’m an independent researcher (MCA graduate) submitting my first arXiv paper to cs.CR (Cryptography and Security).

Paper: “KavachBench: An Empirical Evaluation of Deterministic Policy Enforcement Against Issue-Based Prompt Injection in AI Coding Agents”

Summary: I evaluate Kavach, a Rust-based deterministic, default-deny, action-layer policy-enforcement runtime for AI coding agents, against issue-based prompt-injection attacks from IssueTrojanBench. The evaluation combines static policy-coverage analysis, adversarial probing, mechanism-level trace replay, and live-agent experiments with OpenCode. Out-of-box policy blocked 88% of 42 canonical malicious actions; after benchmark-informed refinement, coverage reached 100% (reported explicitly as corpus-specific, not generalization). The paper also documents real weaknesses found during evaluation, including an argument-blind command-matching bypass.
