I run Kimi K2.7 Code locally against our private repo for autocomplete, refactors and code review so proprietary source never leaves the machine. It's the single most common local-AI use case I see mentioned in the community (r/LocalLLaMA, r/ollama) - devs want Copilot-style help without sending company code to a third-party API. Works great once you wire it into your editor via an OpenAI-compatible local server (Ollama/llama.cpp); latency and quality are close enough to cloud coding assistants for day-to-day work.
