LFortran + Coding Agents Fortran developer Oliver (omacl) released a demo showing LFortran running in a shared REPL tool that connects coding agents such as Claude Code, Pi and Codex with humans, posted to the fortran-lang.discourse.group. LFortran lead developer certik said he is fixing all the issues omacl reported on the lfortran/lfortran GitHub issue tracker and expects them done soon. The demo's RK4 step is currently written in scalars while bug fixes are in progress. omacl https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/u/omacl 1 Hi everyone, Way back in Fortran goals for 2022 https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/t/fortran-goals-for-2022/2473/10 I said I’d love to see LFortran usable for simple interactive tasks. It’s come a long way since then. Thanks to @certik https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/u/certik ’s hard work it seems like it is pretty much there I recently made a little tool to share REPLs between agents and humans via Claude Code, Pi, Codex etc , and added an LFortran demo. This one is still in progress a little as LFortran develops but pretty cool to see IMO See Fortran section here https://omaclaren.github.io/agent-repl/ For now, the RK4 step is written in scalars while some bug fixes are in progress. Would be happy for any feedback if anyone tries it out Cheers, Oliver 1 Like certik https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/u/certik 2 Thanks @omacl https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/u/omacl I am fixing all the issues you reported at Issues · lfortran/lfortran · GitHub https://github.com/lfortran/lfortran/issues?q=is%3Aissue+state%3Aopen+author%3Aomaclaren , should be done soon.
