In an interview on Bloomberg’s The China Show, Lenovo Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Winston Cheng discussed the company’s business strategy and strong momentum in AI infrastructure, highlighting that Lenovo’s evolution and transition beyond a PC company has been a decade-long strategy that is now gaining greater market recognition
Winston also shared his views on growing demand for AI infrastructure, particularly as the industry shifts from AI training to inferencing, and discussed how Lenovo is managing component constraints, capital, and inventory requirements to support growth. He highlighted the company’s global footprint across 180 markets, ongoing investments in AI infrastructure capabilities, and the opportunities created by rising demand for servers, storage and AI solutions worldwide. Winston also noted Lenovo’s confidence in its long-term growth prospects, supported by its global manufacturing presence, ODM+ model and continued flexibility to pursue strategic investments and acquisitions.
