Valve hasn’t shared exactly what has changed visually, but the updated UI should make connecting controllers to the Steam Deck a smoother experience.\nThe update also improves Remote Play. Valve has added a new 100 Mbit/s bandwidth option for users who want better streaming quality. In addition, the “Unlimited” setting now supports adaptive bitrate streaming up to 250 Mbit/s when connecting to the latest Steam beta client. Enhanced streaming presets will also make use of this higher bandwidth option, which could lead to better image quality and reduced compression artifacts during game streaming sessions.\n\nPrime Day deals\nPrime Day is officially here, and we've found all the best deals on tech and gaming.\n\n AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - was $479 now $433.99\n\n Samsung 32\" Odyssey G55C - was $329 now $189\n\n Samsung SSD 9100 PRO 2TB - was $679.99 now $349.99\n\n Hisense 100\" U7 Mini-LED - was $4,499 now $2,499.99\n\n ASUS ROG AMD RX 9070 XT & 9800X3D Gaming PC - was $2,299.99 now $2,119.99\n\nPrices correct as of June 23rd on Amazon.com.\n\nValve has also fixed an issue with PipeWire capture on Wayland desktop environments when running SteamOS beta, which should improve compatibility for users who stream or capture gameplay.\nOutside of Remote Play, the update includes several general fixes. Steam no longer crashes in certain games that use the Steam Timeline API, and the performance profile dropdown menu now renders correctly on the Lenovo Legion Go S. Valve has also fixed Scaling, Filtering, and Sharpening options not appearing in the performance menu. Other improvements include fixing video autoplay issues and resolving unnecessary WebUSB notifications that appeared when connecting certain devices.\n\nPrime Day is coming — don’t miss the deals\n\n Get ready for exclusive savings with Prime.\nAges 18–24 can get a 6-month Prime trial for $0\n\n Start your Prime trial →\n \n\nThe Steam Input section received plenty of attention as well. GameCube controller users can now enjoy rumble support when using an adapter in PC mode. Valve also fixed several issues with the controller configurator, including problems with action sets, exported templates not appearing immediately, and more. Finally, a bug in Friends & Chat that could cause gamepad navigation to become unresponsive after selecting “Ignore All” on the friend invite list has also been resolved.\nOverall, this latest Steam Deck update focuses more on stability and polishing existing features rather than introducing major additions. Still, improvements to Remote Play, controller pairing, and Steam Input should improve the overall experience for Steam Deck users.\n\n 1094Would you buy a bare bones Steam Machine?Would you buy a variant of the Steam Machine with no RAM and/or no SSD and install them separately to help save on costs?
