While the company remains tight-lipped, we’ve found that the update introduces several new features, including My FanCam, Call Brief, a Custom Card for Now Brief, and Search and Finder options on the home screen.\n\nStarting with the most notable change, you will see the new Google Search and Finder widgets right on your home screen if you previously had the Finder widget there. Samsung now lets you choose one, both, or none, [as spotted previously](https://www.androidauthority.com/one-ui-9-finder-google-home-screen-choice-apk-teardown-3663604/).\n\nThis is a good way to clean up your home screen, as you can now remove the dedicated Google Search bar if you want, without losing any functionality. You can locate the option in **Settings > Home screen > Show search on Home screen**.\n\nThe update also brings Call Brief functionality to the Galaxy S26. The feature was introduced on the [One UI 9 stable release](https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-one-ui-9-stable-3690019/) on the Galaxy Z8 foldables.\n\nCall Brief automatically surfaces relevant information like calendar events, reminders, emails, and more directly on your screen while you are in the middle of a call, saving you from going hunting for it. The feature can be found in the **Phone app** by tapping the **three-dot menu button** in the top right, then navigating to **Settings > Call settings > Call ****Brief**.\n\nOne UI 9 Beta 7 for the Galaxy S26 series also brings Custom Card functionality to Now Brief, which was recently made available to the [Galaxy S26 FE](https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-s26-fe-launch-one-ui-9-3702002/) with its One UI 9 stable release (at launch).\n\nWith Custom Cards, users can generate up to three cards that appear in Now Brief to suit their needs. Users can type out a text description of what they want the card to display from Weather, Health, and Video subjects. You can also choose from the available chips.\n\nOnce you have selected your feature, you can also choose when the Custom Card will be shown. After that, the prompt will be validated, and the Custom Card will be generated. You can preview the information and tap on **Done** to create the card. Custom Card can be found in **Settings > Galaxy AI > Now Brief > Custom Cards**. Since this is a generative AI feature, there are daily limits on how many times you can generate or edit a Custom Card.\n\n[My FanCam](https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-8-my-fancam-3690067/) was also launched with One UI 9 stable, and it has made its way to the Galaxy S26 series with One UI 9 Beta 7 release. This feature lets you re-center your videos using subject tracking after you shoot them. You simply shoot a video, let Galaxy AI identify the subjects, tap one of them, and the software will automatically crop, zoom, and center the video on the chosen individual. You can export the newly framed video across various aspect ratios.\n\nMy FanCam’s Settings stub appears under **Settings > Galaxy AI > My FanCam**, but there’s nothing to toggle there. The feature can be accessed in the **Samsung Gallery app** by tapping the **Galaxy AI icon** at the bottom of the screen while playing a video, then selecting **My FanCam** from the editing options.\n\nWe’ll be diving deeper into this Beta 7 release to see if we can find more features.
