Kookmin University has signed an agreement with Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT) to expand cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) and software education, research and industry-academia programs. The university said Wednesday that the agreement was signed Sept. 10 during a visit to its Seoul campus by TUIT Rector Bakhtiyor Makhkamov and Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Tiloyevich Makhsudov. It added that university officials, including President Jeong Seung-ryul, and the Uzbekistani delegates discussed ways to step up bilateral cooperation. The two sides agreed on the importance of cooperation among universities, government and industry in developing digital talent capable of driving future industries.
