Kaito AI has rolled out Kaito Pulse, a Chrome browser extension that lets users verify their activity on platforms like Binance and Polymarket directly on their X timelines. The trick: it does this without ever touching your passwords or login credentials, thanks to zero-knowledge proof technology built by Primus Labs.
The extension launched on August 18, 2026, and was listed on the Chrome Web Store in mid-August 2026.
How zkTLS actually works here #
At its core, Kaito Pulse relies on something called zkTLS, a privacy-preserving layer that sits on top of standard TLS encryption. TLS is the protocol that secures basically every website you visit. The “zk” part stands for zero-knowledge, a cryptographic method that lets you prove something is true without revealing the underlying data.
In practical terms, that means the extension can confirm “this user has an open long position on ETH” without ever accessing or transmitting the user’s exchange credentials. The proof is generated locally in the browser, and only the verified claim gets shared publicly.
Primus Labs, which supplies the underlying zkTLS stack, raised $6.5 million in funding announced in early 2025, with backers including VanEck and Samsung Next.
A campaign to bootstrap adoption #
To get users actually installing the extension, Kaito and Primus Labs launched a joint marketing campaign running from August 25 to September 8, 2026. The campaign featured an $8,000 USDC reward pool, with participants required to complete at least one verification task through the extension to unlock multipliers for content-creation rewards.
Privacy scrutiny and the open-source response #
Kaito addressed privacy concerns head-on by open-sourcing the Pulse extension shortly after its launch. The move allows independent developers and security researchers to audit the code, verify that it does what it claims, and confirm that no credentials or sensitive data leave the user’s browser.
There’s also a question of whether platforms beyond X will integrate similar verification. Primus Labs’ zkTLS technology is not limited to any single social network or exchange. Any platform that uses standard TLS encryption could theoretically be verified through the same framework. That makes Kaito Pulse version 1.0.1 less of a finished product and more of a proof of concept for a much broader infrastructure play.
