Gamers will be able to pre-order their copy of Grand Theft Auto VI on June 25. The most recently announced GTA 6 release date – November 19 – feels pretty set in stone despite all the previous setbacks, and it’s fast approaching. Gamers were expecting pre-orders to arrive alongside trailer 3, just like they did with Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption 2. Well, it’s not quite the same thing, but Rockstar has revealed the date in a new official cover art reveal. As you’d expect, it retains the same tiled look as previous entries to the franchise, with main characters Jason & Lucia in clear view. The studio says it will be available “on digital storefronts and at other select retailers”. Since GTA 6 will be launching on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026, both platform storefronts now let you wishlist the game. We don’t know for sure exactly what time of day the pre-orders will go live. Either way, wishlisting Grand Theft Auto VI on your platform of choice will make sure you’re alerted as soon as they become available. There has been no official word of a PC port – only one leak suggested it would be sooner than expected in early 2027 , but take that with a pinch of salt. We recently polled PC gamers on whether they’ll be picking up a console to play GTA 6 early, but nearly half of them said they were happy to wait it out. Maybe the pre-order announcement will give them second thoughts. The last question that remains is the matter of price – but that should be answered as soon as the pre-orders go live next week.
