# Judge Pitts sets scheduling order for Bartz-class opt outs in Cambronne v. Anthropic. Trial in 2028.

Various authors and publishers who opted out of the *Bartz v. Anthropic* case settlement will get their day in court. But it won’t come until 2028. 

Judge Pitts just set the scheduling order, with a trial not until 2028. Summary judgment motions are due on May 13, 2027 for non-expert summary judgment motions and on Aug. 26, 2027 for expert-based summary judgment motions and *Daubert* motions.
