After [the parties disputed](https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cand.463362/gov.uscourts.cand.463362.94.0.pdf) whether Benjamin Mann, a named defendant in *Concord Music v. Anthropic II*, Judge Lee granted 2 additional weeks.

**Judge Lee ruled:** “Having considered the parties’ arguments in the 94 Joint Status Report, the Court ORDERS Defendant Mann to file his answer to the Second Amended Complaint by 8/17/2026.”

Mann is the person allegedly responsible for downloading copies from online shadow libraries both at OpenAI and later at Anthropic.
