Judge Lee orders Anthropic’s Benjamin Mann to answer Concord Music II complaint by Aug. 17

After the parties disputed whether Benjamin Mann, a named defendant in Concord Music v. Anthropic II, Judge Lee granted 2 additional weeks.

Judge Lee ruled: “Having considered the parties’ arguments in the 94 Joint Status Report, the Court ORDERS Defendant Mann to file his answer to the Second Amended Complaint by 8/17/2026.”

Mann is the person allegedly responsible for down copies from online shadow libraries both at OpenAI and later at Anthropic.
