JetBrains is one of our members, developer of RustRover, their dedicated IDE for Rust development, and Vitaly is on the [Rust Commercial Network (RCN)](https://rustfoundation.org/rust-commercial-network/) Steering Committee. He’s someone we respect for his commitment to Rust and the community, and he’s great to work with, so you can imagine we were a little surprised to see his post:\n\nWhat happened next was truly awesome. Gracie, our Comms and Marketing Director, set up a call with Vitaly so we could dig a little deeper and to find out why he thought we were falling short on presenting Rust and AI to the community. After talking a bit about [RustConf](https://rustconf.com/) we dove deeper into how we could work together to present the Rusty part of AI to the community while being empathetic to the struggles open source projects are facing due to the strains put on maintainers dealing with an increase in pull requests etc.\n\nVitaly had an amazing idea that we are extremely excited to say is now becoming a reality. The Rust Ecosystem at JetBrains hosts regular livestreams that bring together the Rust community for meaningful discussions. You’ll hear many opinions, lots of voices pitching their projects, all with the hopes of bringing people to the table even if they leave with the sense of “agreeing to disagree” on AI’s value to Rust and vice-versa. This partnership is bringing the innovation for building AI tools and infrastructure in Rust to the forefront. It will serve as a platform for discussing how people are using Rust in AI contexts in real time and showcase our shared support for the multitudes of ways Rust is being adopted to build tools that aid in development. How do agents, tooling, and workflows come together in practice?\n\nIn this livestream, Rust Developer Advocate Orhun Parmaksız is joined by Stephen Korzeniewski, Lead Maintainer of Rig at 0xPlaygrounds, to explore how Rust and AI meet in real-world development.
